Families are struggling to go on with their lives while our brave men and women of the armed forces go over seas to fight this never ending battle.  The lucky ones make it back to celebrate another year of life, another family Christmas together, another anniversary.  I think we often take for granted our freedom and forget about those who are still fighting for it.  They’ve given up their lives so we can live ours.

Imagine being away from your loved ones for an extended period of time.  What do you think you could do to relive memories and keep your hope alive?  Photographs are so important to these men and women they serve as a reminder of home, a reminder of love, a reminder of safety and a warm bed.
Your assistance is needed in supporting a very important fundraiser event for our local heroes and for the brave men and women of our U.S. Armed Forces who have been wounded in the global war on terror. Mirrored Images is hosting Portraits for Heroes on September 12, 2010 at Taylors First Baptist Church in Taylors, SC.  Our vision for Portraits for Heroes is to provide a day of free family fun, entertainment and activities to our local troops and their families.  Mirrored Images, along with other participating photographers, will be providing a free mini portrait session with a free 8×10 print to these selfless families.

We are asking for your support as a sponsor or donor to help raise money to fund this event and raise funds necessary to provide valuable programs and services for injured men and women returning home from Iraq and Afghanistan.
Tens of thousands of service men and women have been injured in the recent war on terror, many of them suffering traumatic brain injuries, amputations, and severe burns, which will retire them from service. Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) provides programs and services, such as benefits counseling, family assistance, internships and much more, to ease their burdens and aid in the transition back to a successful civilian life.
